冼志儉牧師
Rev. Jeremy Sin
Jeremy Sin serves as national
missionary with the Church Planting Group of the North American Mission
Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. His responsibility includes
assisting Southern Baptist churches, associations and state conventions to
start churches among Chinese, 2nd generation Asian, Filipino,
Japanese and Vietnamese people groups.
Jeremy was born and grew up in
Hong Kong. He had the opportunity to hear the gospel while he studied in a
Christian elementary school and he made his decision to follow Christ in his
first year studying in Hong Kong Baptist University.
Not long after he was
baptized, Jeremy felt the Lord’s calling to full time Christian ministry in
his 2nd year in college. After he earned his M. Div. from Hong
Kong Baptist Theological seminary, he began to serve the Lord at Macau
Baptist Church, where he was ordained as pastor.
Jeremy came to California in
1987 to pursue his D. Min. at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. In
his twelve years in California, Jeremy had served as pastor with Los Angeles
Crenshaw Baptist Church, Gardena, and First Chinese Southern Baptist Church,
San Francisco.
In 1999, the Lord led Jeremy
to pastor First Chinese Baptist Church of Atlanta in Georgia. In 2004, the
Lord called Jeremy to serve with the North American Mission Board.
Jeremy is married to Josephine
and they have 3 boys and 1 girl. Jeremy enjoys leading Bible study and
translation.
