林國廉牧師
Rev. George K. Lim
Dr.
George K. Lim was born in Hong Kong. But he grew up in Idaho, and received
an Electrical Engineering (BS) from the University of Idaho. He also earned
a Master of Science in Education (Counseling) from the University of
Southern California. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and Staff
College, Ft. Leavenworth, KS. Upon completion of active duty in the U.S.
Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and in obedience to God’s call to
full time ministry, he entered the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary
and obtained a Master of Divinity (Ministry) and a Doctor of Ministry
degrees.
Pastor Lim have served God in various ministries; including: (1) Adjunct
professor at the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, (2) Interim
Pastor at the Chinese Bethel Baptist Church (English) in California, (3)
Itinerary preacher and trainer at the Stockton Chinese Christian Church
(English) in California, and (4) Associate Pastor for Education and
Ministries at the First Baptist Church (English), Vacaville.
God
called Pastor Lim to serve as the English Pastor for the Chinese Baptist
Church in Houston, Texas, 1997 where he served until retirement in 2004.
After retirement, Pastor Lim continues to serve God in preaching ministry at
various churches, conduct workshops and seminars, and lead Sunday Bible
study and small group at the Chinese Baptist Church.
Pastor Lim is married to Nancy (Lee) Lim for 46 years. Mrs. Lim has worked
hand-in-hand with Pastor Lim in all of his ministries. God has blessed them
with two daughters, one son and six grandchildren with one more on the way.
